Our contribution: Asbestos – recognising the hazards and responding correctly

As part of the event, our laboratory director, Dr Stefan Pierdzig, will give a presentation on asbestos hazards in fire service operations. He will examine where asbestos can occur in operational situations, the health risks associated with asbestos exposure, and the specific requirements this creates for personal protective equipment (PPE) and its proper decontamination. A topic equally relevant to emergency responders and PPE managers alike.
